Today's episode of Animal Face Off showed a 600 lb Black Bear turn a 1100 lb Alligator on it's back and kill it. (for those who don't know about the show, it's all CGI) Anyway, 1100 lb is too large for an Alligator, but happens to be the average weight of a Nile Crocodile.
In the earlier episode they showed the Nile Croc kill the lion. But they put him at 2500 lb! That's crazy!
The point is that if a 600 lb bear can turn over and kill an 1100 lb reptile, so can a 500 lb lion.
If they made the lion vs croc fight accurate, with appropriate scale, the lion would've won.

the fight was mest up the gator go the bears leg with a 3000 bite force and did a death role the bears leg would have been broken and the bear would have fell and if the gator couldnt finish the death role it wouldnt have stopped that fight was messed up but lion vs croc wasnt

Naw, the fight made sense, the alligator bit the black bear and there was a big mark, the reason the death row didnt work cuz the bear smacked the alligator on the back preventin it from doin that. That smack was very powerful, u saw what it did to the car!!!

Well, the croc did not get a good grip prior to the death roll.
See, the lion vs croc fight was way wrong. Nile croc averages 1100 lb. That number is actually confirmed by Dr. Britton's own site (the croc guy from the show). Why that croc was 2500 lb is beyond me. That's WAY above the species normal size. The lion could've won if the croc was it's proper 1100 lb.

Oh that show is MESSED UP! I argued with that croc guy and he ended up backing down. I knew I was right, and I proved him wrong with his own site. I used to be on that AFO board. He came down and we did exchange words on the lion vs croc fight. I made him admit that the simulation was wrong.

i have to agree the fight was silly. if a lion can't win, how can the bear. the bear made some scratches and that was it. okie so what if there were internal injuries, how come it wasn't discussed afterwards? just by watching the fight without any proper knowledge, one would thik that the gator just died from a bear scratch, what a wimp

I dont know why u guys are comparing the alligator/black bear fight to the lion/croc fight. First of all, the black bear is stronger than a lion, and its opponent was an alligator (smaller than a croc). The lion (weaker than the black bear) wouldnt be able to flip the nile croc (larger than an alligator). The lion doesnt have that bear strength to kill a nile. Besides, i can picture a croc killin a lion anyday, really, I can. Im not stupid.

Think the bear is stronger than a lion, and the alligator is smaller than a croc.

Dude, the sizes were not accurate. The Nile Croc is not 2500 lb. The average size is 1100 lb. They srecrewed up the gator size as well, 1100 lb is a considerable record for that species. And all this info is from the croc experts site.
The point I was making, and you missed it, was that if they made the croc at the weight it should be, 1100 lb, the lion would be able to flip him over.
And I will still fight you on the Black Bear being stronger than a lion. Most black bears are not 600 lb. In terms of strenght the differenc is not anywhere near what you seem to believe.

i think a lion would be cabeble of flippin a croc but i still think croc would have a better chance of winning
