Ok, we need to get something going here!
Give your reasons for why you think a dog or a cat is a better animal to have as a pet. Also, are cat owners different from dog owners?

I've never seen an ugly cat, but I've seen lots of ugly dogs:

Seriously though, it can go both ways. Dogs are more loyal and make better companions than cats however, in my experience with both animals, cats have been much cleaner than the dog contrary to belief

i like domestic cats better but they can get really moody and i like the dogs that look like wolves alot so i like em both
