Have been reading alot of stories about scientists and their ability to 'bring back' animals that are nearly extinct or extinct. The Barbary Lion and the Tasmanian Tiger (Wolf) have been the most recent two. There are a handfull of ppl that think this is wrong, (playing with DNA). They say it is playing the role of 'God'. I can understand why they say that kinda stuff when humans can be cloned but when the human race has wiped out a certain species of animal... is'nt that kinda like playing God too?
When it comes to cloning humans (or mucking around with our DNA), i kinda sit on the fence about that one. When animals have been wiped out becuase of us, i fully support these scientists. What does everyone else think?

oooOOOOoooo... contreversial subject, i love contreversy ;D
well to me playing God is wrong no matter how you do it, whether you take someone's life, or you create one through cloning. but you can also get into selective breeding and artificial insemination with that so it's a complicated matter. now things such as stem cells sound great to treat diseases like alzheimer's and parkinson's, but creating a life for that purpose and nothing else is shameful. i try not to conversate on religious or political topics, because i can get pretty passionate to the point of angering others so i won't. all i will say is cloning humans or animals is not natural, sure people are wiping out populations and that isn't right either, but if conservation attempts aren't good enough, let things be. we are going to get ourselves in a heap of trouble if we start cloning too often

Ya, you're probably right. If they succeed with the Barbary Lion, Tasmanian Tiger and numerous other projects, where will they stop? We could end up with one seriously messed up ecosystem if they're not careful.

well if you bring back these animals, why not dinosaurs? there is a thing as going too far, and once you start, you can't stop
